The Hunter and the Dog
Carved marble life size sculpture
We sent a group of students to The Usher Gallery in Lincoln to find out what they could about a large carved marble sculpture of a man with his dog by the famous Victorian artist John Gibson. Why and how was it made and what is going on here? See what they found out. You can use this film to start a debate in your classroom about sculpture or as an introduction to Neo-Classicism.
