These two carved wooden panels by Hone Ngatoto at Perth Museum and Art Gallery are typical of the type of panels made for a Maori community meeting house in New Zealand. Depicting ancestors of the woodcarver they were made to ward off evil spirits and connect people to the past. This film is one of a series of films about sculpture in public collection in the UK and reflect young peoples views about the works.
