Through Sea and Air
The Laing Art Gallery in Newcastle upon Tyne has lots of grand paintings. We asked a group of young people to select just one to investigate and they chose Charles Napier Hemy's huge oil painting 'Through Sea and Air' which he painted in 1910.
Why did he make this painting and how did he do it? Our group interview Keeper of Art, Sarah Richardson, to find out more and they were quite surprised by what they discovered.
