Discover Museum Settings
Arts Award supports young people to develop as artists and arts leaders and young people can progress through the levels.
Here are three examples of how Museums are delivering Arts Award in their venues. Arts Award Discover at Peterborough Museum, Arts Award Explore at Lancashire Infantry Museum and the Museum of Lancashire and Bronze Arts Award at the National Maritime Museum at Greenwich.

Arts Award Discover at Peterborough Museum
A group of Year 5 pupils search for artforms around the museum and then do a workshop about dinosaurs and the specialist world of palaeo art.

Arts Award Explore at the Lancashire Infantry Museum and the Museum of Lancashire, Preston
Year 6's are conscripted to join the army and end up in the trenches at the Museum of Lancashire on the way they find out about running a museum and war artists and poets.

Bronze Arts Award at the National Maritime Museum,Greenwich
One young man who thinks museums are for old people signs up to a summer course and ends up changing his views, as well as being the proud owner of a Bronze Arts Award.
